CENTRAL PROCESSING UNIT

Central Processing Unit

The Central Processing Unit (CPU) is based in Rugby and was set up in 1995 to enable Johnsons to offer specialist services by utilising the latest technologies, in terms of equipment and cleaning solvents.

The CPU supports Johnsons traditional dry cleaning facilities available at the branches and is probably the largest dedicated cleaning plant in Europe.

The operation is able to provide advanced specialist dry cleaning and wet cleaning options in addition to suede and leather cleaning, repairs for textiles and leather items, duvet laundering and a range of ancillary services.

This range of expertise has attracted the attention of many High Street retailers and others within our own industry, who frequently look to the CPU for guidance in garment and textile aftercare.

In addition to providing specialised cleaning, the CPU also incorporates a Technical Services department that completes garment / fabric testing for a number of High Street retailers and manufacturers throughout the UK.
