JOHNSON CLEANERS LAUNCH EXPERT TAILORING SERVICE
Johnson Cleaners, the UK’s leading dry cleaning service provider, has launched its first ever bespoke ‘Sewing Room’ at its Ilkeston store on Bath Street, creating two new jobs for the local area.
The new service, launched on 25th November, will enable local residents to receive tailoring and fitting for their garments as well as the exclusive opportunity to take their own designs and materials to be created by the tailor, as well as services including curtain alterations.
Johnson Cleaners has transformed an empty retail unit next to its existing store, creating a spacious area for customers to visit and be measured for their tailoring needs, in the comfort of a purpose-built private area.
Talking about the new bespoke sewing room, Wendy Lockett, store manager of the new sewing room, said: “This is a brand new concept for Johnson Cleaners and demonstrates the company’s commitment to providing convenient services for its customers.
“In the current economic climate, we are living in a ‘make do and mend’ culture and the new ‘Sewing Room’ gives our customers the opportunity to repair and update their wardrobes without having to spend a fortune on new clothes.”
The new sewing room situated on Bath Street, Ilkeston, Derbyshire, DE7 8AJ will be open between 8.30am and 5pm Monday to Friday and Saturday, 8.30am to 4pm.
Discounts and promotions to celebrate the opening of the new sewing room include jeans & trousers shortened for only £4.99 as well as 20% off alterations & repairs.
